“I identify as a psychodynamic therapist who also dabbles in the techniques and philosophies of other orientations including CBT, DBT, existential therapy, and mindfulness/spirituality.”

As a psychodynamic therapist, I believe that it is essential to understand one’s past experiences, starting from early childhood, in order to identify the past traumas that may have created false, limiting beliefs that fuel the triggers, destructive emotions, and maladaptive behaviors impacting one’s present reality. I believe that in order to heal and “upgrade” the personality, it’s important to first understand how the personality was formed and which aspects of the personality may have formed maladaptively.

I believe that our traumas and wounds are simply negative emotions we’ve repressed in our bodies due to our invalidating childhood environments not giving us the tools and support to acknowledge, validate, and feel our pain in safe and healthy ways. Thus, I provide a safe, intimate, and nurturing space to help you unlock the repressed traumatic emotions and memories and facilitate emotionally reparative moments to help you heal and release your wounds.
